Making Cake Dough

There are several ways to make cake dough without eggs. Here's a simple recipe that substitutes eggs:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups milk (or non-dairy milk for a vegan option)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar (white vinegar or apple cider vinegar)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified in your cake recipe.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well to ensure all the dry ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  3. Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix everything together until you have a smooth batter. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. Add the vinegar to the batter and gently stir it in. The vinegar will react with the baking powder and baking soda, helping the cake rise.

  5. Once the batter is well mixed, pour it into a greased and floured cake pan.

  6. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake according to the time and temperature specified in your cake recipe. Keep an eye on the cake and perform the toothpick test (insert a toothpick into the center of the cake, and if it comes out clean, the cake is done).

  7. Once the cake is fully baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting or serving.

This recipe provides a basic eggless cake dough that can be used as a base for various cake flavors. Keep in mind that the texture and taste of the cake may differ slightly from a traditional cake made with eggs, but it can still be delicious and satisfying.
